ou cannot help it but there are times when a single tile in your wall or floor gets damaged, ruining the entire look. Replacing your entire floor just because of a single damaged tile is massively expensive. But you do not need to worry because you can remove the damaged piece and replace it with a bit of work.
First, protect the surrounding tiles by covering them with masking tape. Next, remove the old grout around the damaged tile by using a grout saw and a scraper. Once the grout is removed, deeply score an “X” on the damaged tile using a tile cutter. Then using a hammer and chisel, carefully break the tile until all the pieces are removed. To prepare the space for a new tile, scrape the bits of tile, adhesive, grout, and mortar with a scraper. Smooth out the area using sandpaper. Now you are ready to install the replacement tile.
