If you are planning to redesign your abode, then you need to consider a number of things. Styling the lights, arranging the furniture, and fixing a new set of tiles need to be taken seriously in order to come up with great output. To help you out, here are some easy-to-follow steps.
* Measure the length and width of the whole floor area. This will provide you with a good estimate of how many pieces you are going to purchase. The number of pieces to be bought will depend on both the extent of the floor area and the dimensions of the tiles. However, for you to save time and effort, you must buy extra pieces to replace some damaged ones during the installation process.
* Tidy the area and let it dry thoroughly. Ensure that there are no places with a little moisture on it. Additionally, in case wherein you need to include those spaces near an electrical outlet, turn off the energy supply first before you start the process. This is to ensure safety.
* Temporarily lay all the tiles on the floor to approximate the area. After doing so, measure the dimensions of corners where you need some cutting.
* Put enough adhesives all over a small portion of the room. Consequently, you have to position each piece in such a way that it is exactly parallel from the other. Press them gently so that they stick firmly on the cement. Finish the whole row first and then go on with the next rows.
* Use a tile saw which you can rent in shops to cut all partial pieces. This is to ensure precision and perfection in each trim.
* After covering with the slates, then the next thing you will do is to wipe all excess adhesives. And then finally, let them dry overnight for a perfect adherent finish.
These steps are simple yet overly constructive. By following them, you are assured of flawless and skilful output. If you are not adept in doing such a task, consider hiring the services of experienced masons.
